What nineteen AI-visibility tools charge, and the ten things we could not verify
The short answer
Fifteen of nineteen AI-visibility tools show a plan price, served on 23 September 2026 or drawn on 24 September; four do not, and no current plan price is presented as theirs. Ten things we could not verify are named.
What is AI-visibility tools' pricing?
The pricing pages of the fifteen that show a figure, read 23 September 2026 and rendered 24 September, put the entry tier between $20 a month (Rankscale's Essentials) and $800 a month (Evertune's Pro); the highest monthly plan price shown in the text of any of the nineteen pages is Ahrefs' $1,499 a month Enterprise plan, annual commitment required. The other four — Profound, Bluefish, Conductor and BrightEdge — show no plan price, served or rendered, and no current plan price in this post is presented as theirs; Profound's page, after a click on its For agencies tab on 24 September 2026, draws two add-on prices, $399 a month for an added client workspace and $199 for five trial workspaces, on an Agency Growth plan it gives no figure. Peec was counted as a fifth until 24 September 2026: its page serves no figure to a script and draws Starter at $95 a month, Pro at $245 and Advanced at $495 on monthly billing in a browser; the correction below says what changed.
The nineteen are the set we track. Which engines each one says it checks is in the coverage table in our post on which engines we check, and what each one says about how it collects its answers is in what nineteen of them say about how they get their answers, read 24 September 2026; this post is the price column. Every figure below was read from the named page on 23 September 2026 with no JavaScript executed, which matters twice: a page that renders its prices in the browser can show a script nothing, and a page with a monthly-annual toggle can show a script one side of it. Where our earlier read of 5 September 2026 differs, the last column says so, and where the Internet Archive holds a capture from that week, the next section links it.
Correction, 24 September 2026. The read above ran no JavaScript, and one of the nineteen pages draws its prices with a script: peec.ai/pricing serves no figure to a script and, rendered in headless Chrome on 24 September 2026, shows Starter at $95 a month, Pro at $245 and Advanced at $495 on monthly billing, with Enterprise on request. This post went out on 23 September counting Peec among five vendors that show no price; the count is now fifteen of nineteen that show a figure and four that show none, and the table's Peec row, which named three plans, now names the four the page carried on both days; every sentence in this post that carried the old count has been changed. The other eighteen pages were rendered the same day; the figures printed for them hold as served, with four caveats added to the table where a browser hides or changes what a script receives. Everything dated 23 September describes that read; everything dated 24 September is from the render.

(hubspot.com/ai-search-grader, vendor's own page, read 23 Sep 2026) | — | Our 5 Sep read recorded the Grader only; the Archive's capture of 1 Sep already carries the $50 line |
| Writesonic | Starter "$79 … per month, billed annually", 50 prompts; Basic $199 and Growth $399 on the same basis; the page's metadata says "Self-serve from $99/mo". (seranking.com/subscription.html and visible.seranking.com, vendor's own pages, read 23 Sep 2026) | SE Visible Basic "$99 month to month" — trakkr.ai/reviews/seranking-review/pricing, facts checked 1 Sep 2026, read 23 Sep | Our 5 Sep read had only third-party figures; the Archive's capture of 3 Sep already carries Core $129/$103.20 and the 14-day trial |
| Similarweb | AI Search Intelligence, AEO Intelligence, 150 tracked prompts: visible text $49/mo billed annually or $65 monthly; metadata and structured data $99/mo billed annually, $129 monthly; a browser draws the $49 and $65 set (rendered 24 Sep 2026), see item 6. (similarweb.com/packages/ai-search/, vendor's own page, read 23 Sep 2026) | $99/mo billed annually, $129 monthly, 150 prompts — echowi.ai/blog/similarweb-ai-search-review/, published 7 Aug 2026, updated 28 Aug, read 23 Sep | Our 5 Sep read recorded the vendor page as showing no price; echowi.ai had read $99 from it on 7 Aug |

| BrightEdge | No figure. The pricing URL is a 404; the site says request a demo. (brightedge.com, vendor's own site, read 23 Sep 2026) | "Custom quote; no public numeric range" — trakkr.ai/reviews/brightedge-review/pricing, facts checked 1 Sep 2026, read 23 Sep | Same: no price; the $50K/yr median our 5 Sep read attributed to trakkr.ai is not on its page |
Which tools do not publish a price?
Four of nineteen publish no plan price: Profound, Bluefish, Conductor and BrightEdge, as their pages read on 23 September 2026 and rendered on 24 September; Profound's draws only two agency add-on prices, after a click. All four route a paying buyer to a demo or a sales contact; Profound's page also offers a free Trial and its Agency Growth plan through a Get Started sign-up. Peec's page as served shows four plan names and a trial button, on 23 September as on 24 September, and a browser draws its prices; it was counted here until 24 September 2026.
Numbers for three of the four — Bluefish, Conductor and BrightEdge — circulate anyway, and the table carries them because a reader will meet them elsewhere without the attribution. What a review site lists is what a review site lists. Peec was the clearest case until its page was rendered: SE Ranking's review site put Peec's Starter at $80 a month in a review dated 28 August 2026 and updated 8 September, and our own read of 5 September recorded €89 from the same site. The update fell three days after our read; we did not capture the page on 5 September, so we cannot say what it showed. Peec's own pricing page, drawn in a browser on 24 September 2026, shows $95, $245 and $495 a month on monthly billing, the review's monthly figures, and the table now prints those as Peec's.
What changed in eighteen days?
Two prices changed on the vendor's own page, one may have, and five rows were our own 5 September read being incomplete. The two: Profound's page showed $99 a month for a ChatGPT-only Starter and $399 for Growth on 5 September, both billed yearly in the Internet Archive's capture of 3 September; on 23 September it shows a free seven-day Trial, an Enterprise tier priced on request, and a banner for a $180M Series D. Surfer's AI Search Analytics was 158 USD per month on 5 September, and 158 USD billed yearly in the capture of 4 September; on 23 September it is 82.
The maybe is Goodie's Agency Growth. We recorded $350 a month on 5 September without noting whether that was monthly, quarterly or annual billing; on 23 September the page shows $275 billed annually and $330 billed quarterly, and the Archive holds no capture of the page from that week, so we cannot say whether it moved.
The five are on us. Writesonic's page already showed $79, $199 and $399 billed annually on 21 August; SE Ranking's already showed Core at $129, or $103.20 annual, and a 14-day trial on 3 September; HubSpot's already carried "$50/month – no HubSpot subscription required" on 1 September; Semrush's already said "SEO + AI Search" at $165.17 on 22 August, and its nav says "Semrush One" today, so there was no rename; and Similarweb's AI Search packages page carries figures that echowi.ai had read from it on 7 August. Our 5 September read recorded those five as third-party-only, free-only, differently named, or absent. That is a finding about our own earlier work, and it is the reason we are not printing a "the count moved" line: the count is 15 of 19 today, Peec included since the render of 24 September, and what it was on 5 September depends on which of the five you charge to the vendor and which to us. A prices post can be wrong inside eighteen days for either reason, which is why every figure here carries the day it was read.
What could we not verify?
Ten things we could not settle on our read of 23 September 2026; two of them, items 2 and 6, were settled on 24 September by rendering the page in a browser, and each says so. None of the nineteen pricing pages we read on 23 September 2026 carries a list like this; it is the part of this post that cannot be copied from a pricing page.
1. Paid advertising by any of the nineteen. On 5 September 2026 Google's Ads Transparency Center returned a JavaScript shell, LinkedIn's and Meta's ad libraries returned HTTP 403, and SpyFu returned no data. Re-run on 23 September: Google answered 200 with a shell and no ad data readable, LinkedIn 403, Meta 403, SpyFu a shell. Nobody in the set has been confirmed as an advertiser, and nobody has been cleared.
2. Peec's prices. Settled 24 September 2026: the page serves none to a script and, drawn in a browser, shows Starter $95, Pro $245 and Advanced $495 a month on monthly billing, the monthly figures in the review below. What stays open is the review site's history. The two third-party sets on file differ — €89, €199 and €499 recorded on 5 September from visible.seranking.com and workduo.ai; $80, $205 and $420 billed annually on visible.seranking.com's review dated 28 August 2026, updated 8 September, read 23 September. The euro figures are on neither page on 23 September, and the workduo.ai URL we tried returns 404; the same euro set is on Peec's own comparison page against Profound, dated 5 January 2026, historical, where €499 is the Enterprise figure (read 24 September 2026).
3. Whether Profound still sells at $99 and $399. Its page showed both, billed yearly, on 5 September and in the Archive's capture of 3 September, and neither on 23 September. A reader now gets a free Trial and an Enterprise tier priced on request; whether the two tiers went away or went behind the demo, the page does not say.
4. Bluefish's price. Its pricing URL is a 404 and its home page shows no figure, both on 23 September. meev.ai's review, updated 19 July 2026, says "Quote-only; six-figure estimates" and calls them estimates, not vendor figures; the $100K to $500K-plus a year in our 5 September read is not on that page as written.
5. Conductor's and BrightEdge's contract values. For Conductor, checkthat.ai carries Vendr data — 13 transactions, median $48,950 a year — on a page modified 7 April 2026, which is over 90 days old and is printed as historical. For BrightEdge, trakkr.ai's page, facts checked 1 September 2026 and read 23 September, says "Custom quote; no public numeric range"; the $50K a year median our 5 September read attributed to it is not there. Both vendors' own pages carry no figure.
6. Which of Similarweb's two price sets a browser shows. Settled 24 September 2026: rendered, the page draws $49 a month billed annually, or $65 monthly, for AEO Intelligence, and the $99 and $129 set stays in the metadata. On 23 September its AI Search packages page served $49 a month billed annually, or $65 monthly, in its visible text for AEO Intelligence with 150 tracked prompts, while the same page's metadata says "From $99/mo" and its structured data prices the same package at $99 billed annually and $129 monthly. echowi.ai read $99 and $129 from it on 7 August. We read the page as a script that day and rendered it the next.
7. A standalone Semrush AI Toolkit at $99 a month per domain. trakkr.ai, read 23 September, lists "$99/mo per domain". On 23 September semrush.com's pricing page lists AI tracking only inside plans from $165.17 a month billed annually, and semrush.com/ai-toolkit answers 404. Since then, on a page that read did not open: Semrush's own pricing page for the toolkit, semrush.com/pricing/ai/, showed $99 a month per domain, billed annually, on 23 September 2026, under the name AI Visibility Toolkit — the figure, the bundle prices and what Semrush does better are in Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit vs HeardOf.
8. Scrunch's monthly-billing figure. Its page serves $250 a month with no billing label. The $300 our 5 September read recorded is in neither the 23 September page nor the Archive's capture of 1 September, and we did not note where it came from. A page with a toggle can show a script one side of it, and we read as a script.
9. Free tiers at Rankscale and Surfer. Cited by reviews on 5 September. On 23 September Rankscale's page offers a seven-day Pro trial with no charge until day seven, and Surfer's offers "Get a free AI visibility audit for your brand" and a start-for-free button with no stated terms; whether either has a free tier beyond that, the pages do not say.
10. Whether Goodie's Agency Growth price moved. $350 a month in our 5 September read, billing basis not recorded; $275 billed annually and $330 billed quarterly on 23 September; no Archive capture of the page from that week. It could be a cut of $75, or the same price read on a different toggle.
How was this read?
With curl and a browser user-agent, on 23 September 2026, one fetch per page, no JavaScript executed — the same way we read what these vendors' own sites serve for llms.txt, in does llms.txt actually work. The figures in the first column reproduce: open the named page and the number is there or it is not (some are in the page's metadata or structured data, so view the source). Peec's are there only after the page's script runs, which is why they were missed on 23 September and found on 24 September 2026, when all nineteen pages were opened again in headless Chrome with JavaScript executed; the four caveats in the table come from that render. The figures dated 5 September 2026 are from our own read of that date and do not reproduce, which is why each one says so and why the Archive captures are linked where they exist. Third-party figures are the third party's, named, with the page's own date where it carries one. Everything this post says about our own system comes from us and carries its date in the sentence that says it; you cannot check it. Everything else carries a page name and a day. The same one-fetch read, applied to what the vendors publish rather than what they charge, is in what the AI-visibility category writes about itself: 574 posts across five vendor blogs — Profound, Otterly, AthenaHQ, Peec and Geoptie — counted from their own sitemaps on 23 September 2026, with every rule printed, and 14 of the 155 older posts whose edit dates can be read revised since June. The same served-then-rendered read, applied to the thirty B2B software companies in our 4 September 2026 measurement rather than to the vendors, is in 30 B2B software pricing pages: how many show a price before JavaScript runs?: thirteen serve a plan price before any script runs, none draws one only with JavaScript, and three answered a script with a 403, all read on 24 September 2026.
Common questions
How much does Peec AI cost per month?
Starter $95 a month, Pro $245 and Advanced $495 on monthly billing, with Enterprise on request, as Peec's pricing page draws them in a browser on 24 September 2026. The page serves none of those figures to a script, which is why our read of 23 September 2026, which ran no JavaScript, reported it as showing no figure; that was wrong about the page and is corrected here. SE Ranking's review site, visible.seranking.com, in a Peec review dated 28 August 2026, updated 8 September 2026 and read 23 September, lists Starter at $80 a month billed annually or $95 monthly, Pro at $205 or $245, and Advanced at $420 or $495. The monthly figures are what Peec's page draws; the annual ones we have not seen on Peec's page, which says only that annual billing is 15% off. Our read of 5 September 2026 recorded a set in euros from the same site, and the review was updated three days after that read, so the two sets may be one page at two dates — see the list of what we could not verify.
Which AI-visibility tools are free?
Of the nineteen, as their pages read on 23 September 2026: HubSpot's AI Search Grader is a free one-time check; AthenaHQ's Essential tier is free with a $25 credit; Ahrefs' Brand Radar page offers to "Preview your AI visibility for free"; Surfer's pricing page offers to "Get a free AI visibility audit for your brand"; Conductor's site offers to "Get a Free AI Visibility Analysis". Everything else is a trial — seven days at Scrunch, Goodie and Rankscale, seven days with a card at AmICited, fourteen at SE Ranking — or a demo.
Does any AI-visibility tool sell a one-off audit?
Not one of the nineteen, as of our read of 5 September 2026; every paid offer was a subscription then, and we have not re-checked that column since. The one-off products we found sat outside the set: a $249 single-payment report from BizWhiz, and agency audits from $1,500 to $7,500, both as recorded that day and not re-read.
Why do four of the nineteen AI-visibility tools not publish a price?
Their pages do not say why, and we have not asked. All four — Profound, Bluefish, Conductor and BrightEdge — route to a demo or a sales contact, as their pages read on 23 September 2026 and rendered on 24 September. Peec was the fifth until 24 September: its page as served shows plan names with a trial button and no figure, and a browser draws its prices. The third-party estimates that circulate for them are in the table, attributed, and are not a substitute.
These are our numbers. Yours are one audit away.
Nineteen pages, read once as served and once rendered, every figure dated, and the four blanks left blank. If the number you actually want is not what a tool costs but whether the engines name you — 40 buyer prompts, four engines, Google AI Overviews included, you against up to three competitors (from our own systems, as of 23 September 2026) — that is what HeardOf measures. What it charges is on our own site and not in this post, so nothing here goes stale on our account.
30 B2B software pricing pages: how many show a price before JavaScript runs?
